Friends of Jim Erb

Dear Friends,

We are “Friends of Jim Erb” who live in Waterloo.  Jim has registered as a candidate for Regional Council to represent the City of Waterloo in the municipal election which will take place on Monday, October 22nd.

Like Jim, we are grateful for the leadership Ken Seiling has given to the Region as Chair. When leadership changes, there are new opportunities around the council table for new voices, new ideas and a renewed vision for the future of our Region where everyone feels they are included and belong. Jim can help to represent change for the future.

As a life long resident of Waterloo Region, Jim has been a leader in business and an active community volunteer. As a small business owner, he successfully owned and operated Erb & Good Family Funeral Home for 30 years and understands the importance of meeting a weekly payroll and the need to be a good manager.

His involvement in the community includes eight years on Waterloo City Council and as an active member of many community boards where he capably assumed leadership positions and was prepared to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.  He was honoured by Governor General David Johnston with the Canadian Caring Award, named KW Citizen of the Year, was the honouree at the Mayor’s Dinner for The Working Centre and the recipient of both the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals. He has been an active member of the Kitchener Conestoga Rotary Club for 32 years where for eight years he chaired their annual Turkey Drive for House of Friendship Christmas Hamper Program. You can read more information on Jim’s campaign at www.jimerbwaterloo.ca

Jim is a team player. As a business person and community volunteer, he has demonstrated his willingness to listen, consult and then bring everyone together to reach an acceptable outcome. We think Jim’s record as a successful small business owner and community volunteer are well suited to make him a valuable member of Regional Council to represent the City of Waterloo.

This letter is to invite you to join us in supporting Jim by making a financial contribution to his campaign.

In anticipation of your contribution, thank you for supporting Jim’s campaign.

Yours sincerely ………. “Friends of Jim Erb”
